Balan: Back to looking Beautiful

Vidya Balan has always been in spotlight or her fashion faux passes.  Her recent off screen fashion sense irks me, she just doesnt seem to add variety and turns up in a saree here there and  everywhere.  Not that i hate Sari pr something but the way she reuses to add something new to her look almost everytime is what i hate, add to that the fact that she looks older in her saress most of the times.

But she happily surprised me at the India Day parade in manhattan . I loved how she looks. So young , Radiant and Beautiful. Extra love for her hair do

All things seem to to be going right for this SRK starrer movie.

Releasing in the Eid season and having no close competition, This Rohit Shetty film is already a part of 100 cr club and is racing to enter the ultra exclusive 200 cr club.

Chennai Express has broken many records including some of Salman starrer Ek tha tiger records.

De Dana Dhan:Loud and funny in bits

Director: Priyadarshan
Star Cast: Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Suniel Shetty, Sameera Reddy,Paresh Rawal and many others

This movie by priyadarshan is a mindless and noisey comedy with about 2 dozen actors and a horrible script ! To watch this movie keep your brains at home !
The story revolves around akshay and Suniel, who have to make quick money in order to get their girls. They decide to kidnap Mulchand JI the rich spoilt DOG yes you read it right a dog. This Kidnap plans lands them in a mishap when the dog escapes and police believe Akshay is the victim !
First half of the movie is slow but picks up pace in the second half only to end up with a dull and abrupt titanicish climax !! Girls have nothing to do, director fails to capitalize on the hera pheri chemistry between Paresh, Akshay and Suniel. Akshay and many other characters do a disappearing act midway.
But the movie does have its moments like the intoduction of mulchandji, akshay's introductory monologues, Johnny levers chloroform act, suniel and rajpal's convo all these scenes literally make you ROFL.
Talking of logic, Dowry is fully acceptable here, the film is set in singapore but every cop and hotel staff will talk in hindi so better dont look for it . Music too isnt very good .
DDD is the best of Akshay this year but dont have high expectations as Akshay-Katrina pair up also does not work this time around .
The film is unbearably long and you are actually happy that it ended when the film is over!
Watch if you have nothing else to do...

54 Idea Filmfare Awards 2009: Jodhaa Akbar wins big Time

The 54th Idea Filmfare awards came to an end with Jodhaa Akbar winning 5 awards. This years filmfare was not short of controversy as the best actor award was given to Hrithik Roshan instead of Aamir or SRK who delivered power packed performances in Ghajini and Rab ne bana di jodi respectively. Aamir and SRK's movies actually broke many box office records at a time when industry was recurring losses from recession. Also A Wednesday was not given a single award and award for comic role category was scrapped for which Abhishek Bachan was a deserving winner for his Dostana gay act.
I strongly believe Hrithik should give the award to Aamir, he really deserves it, for his brilliant work in ghajini and he has done a lot of hardwork for the movie too.

Filmfare Awards, the oldest movie awards of our country, this year was hosted by  two young stars Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor as the theme for the night was 'Young India'.
